This year’s family night at Chapin Street School was filled with flannel, fun and fall festivities! Mrs. Jennifer Potter (2nd grade teacher) and Mrs. Krystal Foley (3rd grade teacher) this year’s organizers, reported that everyone in attendance was encouraged to wear flannel, but required to have have fun!

There were several falltastic activities for all to enjoy, but many would agree the most amazingly fun activity was the opportunity to meander through a maze, in the dark, with flashlights, that was constructed in the school's cafeteria that led to the Ludlow Elementary Schools PTO book fair in the gym.  Foley and Potter wanted to extend a special thank you to the Ludlow High School Leading Lions who helped to construct the maze and support some of the activities.

Other activities during the night included-

~Storytime in the library with Ms. Kate Marciano, Chapin Street  Library/Media Specialist.

~Math facts dance party in rooms 1 and 2-  math facts appeared on the SMARTBoard and participants touch the answer on their mat.

~Origami with Mrs. Jane Abts, Chapin Street Art Teacher.

~Fall wreath making.

~Scarecrow face painting.

~Photo booth in the lobby.

~Light refreshments of popcorn, apples and water.

“This family night was so much fun for everyone. I loved seeing the endless smiles on the faces of our students,” commented Mrs. Nikki Reed, Chapin Street Principal.  “I can’t thank the Chapin Street staff enough for all of their hard work to make this event come to life for our students and families.”
